Last summer (the summer of 2019) was challenging for everyone on the Kenai Peninsula because of the extensive wildfires that lasted for months. As a result, we had planned on equipping all the cabins and rooms with some kind of air treatment in advance of the 2020 summer season.
Then COVID-19 arrived, and every single plan for 2020 got thrown out the window. Since we had no idea what would happen, and cash seemed to be drying up, we put all major and minor purchases on hold.
We grappled with what seemed like constantly changing information and directives all summer season. Finally, things settled into a routine, and the information settled into a cohesive and comprehensive agreement on the ways Covid spreads.
One of the most significant risks comes from inhaling the virus as it is lingering or traveling through the air. We watched the development of ozone air treatments and fogging.
